Small, non-polluting businesses can now start operations without prior approvals for the first 3 years.
The Assam Government has announced a major ease-of-doing-business reform. Eligible small, non-polluting enterprises can begin operations immediately after submitting the required application and complying with regulations—without waiting for government approvals for up to three years.
The policy also allows eligible entrepreneurs to set up small business units on agricultural land without requiring land conversion approval. The initiative aims to reduce delays, encourage entrepreneurship, and attract more investment across the state.
